The Neotopia guide

Everything from the in-game /help menu, expanded with every command you'll need.

Getting started

Getting started

What Neotopia is and what to do in your first ten minutes.

Neotopia is a land-claiming survival server. Players own plots of land and group together into towns. You can join an existing town or create your own. Everything in this wiki is also available in-game through /help.

  • Type /help to open the server guide at any time.
  • Grab your starter kit from /kits.
  • Use /rtp to find open land, or head to the Mining world for resources.
  • Sell your first materials at /shop to get some starting money.
  • Join a town, or save up and found your own with /t new <name>.
/t new <name>Create a new town where you stand
/t spawnTeleport to your town spawn
/t deposit <amount>Put money in the town bank
/t withdraw <amount>Take money out of the town bank

Your town bank pays the daily upkeep. Keep it topped up so your town doesn't fall to ruin.

Rules

Short version: use common sense and respect other players.

The rules are simple: use common sense. The full list is always available with /rules.

  • No hacked clients, x-ray packs or unfair modifications.
  • No exploiting bugs or duplication glitches. Report them to staff instead.
  • Be respectful in chat. No harassment, hate speech or spam.
  • No advertising other servers.
  • Don't scam players in trades or on the auction house.

Worlds

Four worlds, each with its own purpose and border.

Open the worlds menu with /worlds to travel between them.

WorldSizePurpose
Survival30,000 × 30,000Main world: towns, builds and claims
Nether10,000 × 10,000Fortresses, bastions and fast travel
End5,000 × 5,000End cities, elytra and the dragon
Mining5,000 × 5,000Resource gathering only, keeps the main world clean

Don't build your base in the Mining world. It exists purely for gathering.
